If someone finds a solution to a problem, it will almost immediately be responded to with some variation of "Because we believe this topic has been answered we have closed it." but they do little in the way of providing solutions or addressing known bugs. As mentioned earlier, many threads with legitimate issues go completely ignored, even though their forums are actually monitored quite well. Things like broken LNAV (the plane often zig zags and is unable to follow a straight line in some scenario they apparently can't reproduce even though many people see it often, self included) remain broken and have little hope of being fixed at this point. There's no other way to say it - Aerosoft's customer service is poor and there's not a strong commitment to quality.I understand that you can't invest endless money and development time into a project after it's already received probably 95% of its sales, but there's a perception that the aircraft will not evolve much after launch which is not the case with top-tier developers. Aerosoft seems to have a one-man development team assigned to its aircraft and once the initial launch is completed and any extremely high-priority issues are addressed, that developer gets moved to another project and it's left to collect dust for many months at a time. This is something called out in one of the otherwise positive review videos posted by a real-world pilot shortly after launch but has not been addressed in the nearly two years since release. Rather than display the vertical speeds needed to hit altitude restrictions on the flight plan, it displays vertical speeds needed to reach whatever glide path the aircraft has calculated. As an example, the advisory VNAV does not work correctly. There have been dozens of bug reports and inaccuracies pointed out by real-world CRJ pilots in great detail that have gone completely ignored by Aerosoft. To simulate normal operations should require the pilot to correctly perform all of the necessary steps that a real pilot does, and this aircraft simply does not. Aerosoft has always stated that they only intend to simulate normal operations (so things like realistic failures are not developed) I'm fine with this in theory, but they fall far short of delivering on this promise. For example, you can taxi perfectly without enabling nosewheel steering, and you can fly without issues if you forget to turn on your hydraulics. Although all switches are present, the simulation is extremely shallow.I do have a few major gripes with both the plane and Aerosoft as a whole though. It offers poor value compared to similarly priced aircraft like the Fenix A320 and PMDG 737, but it's largely fun to fly and gets more hate than it deserves. Wondering if maybe you could help do the same with the CRJ? I'm very experienced when it comes to flight sim, just want to make sure what I'm doing in the simulator is similar to real life. So far I've had 747 pilot and 737 pilot walk me through everything. This might be a really, really stupid question but could you maybe walk me through it one day? I love having real life pilots show me real lie procedures for aircraft. I swear I've done all this and I see the green needle lining up but it still doesn't seem to work as good as the a320 or boeing737 app mode. Is there no need to enter in the CRS? Didn't see you mention CRS at all. Wait for green needles to show and line up.
